Jakarta, August 26, 2024 – The Cement Team pulled off a surprise victory, clinching the gold medal in chess at the KPN Sports Festival 2024 (KSF 2024) after defeating the Corporate team. This win marks a historic milestone for the Cement Team, who previously only managed to secure bronze.

Arafa, a representative from the Cement Team, expressed his gratitude for the team's achievement.

"Alhamdulillah, both personally and as a team, we're really grateful. Last year, we got bronze, but this year we managed to snag gold," he said.

Arafa shared insights into what led to the Cement Team's victory.

"We did a lot of training, both online and offline. We maximized our weekends for sharing sessions and discussing specific games. Most importantly, we believed in each team member's abilities," Arafa concluded.

With this success, the Cement Team is even more motivated to keep improving their performance in the annual KPN Corp sports event.

Meanwhile, the Corporate team had to settle for the silver medal, while the Property team claimed bronze.
